Katharine Hepburn

Katharine Hepburn - May 12, 1907 – June 29, 2003
Hepburn holds the record for the most Best Actress Oscar wins with four, from 12 nominations. Hepburn won an Emmy Award in 1976 for her lead role in Love Among the Ruins, and was nominated for four other Emmys, two Tony Awards and eight Golden Globes. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked Hepburn as the greatest female star in the history of American cinema.

More about Katharine Hepburn. More about her movie career.

Condition of the photo is excellent. It dates to the early 1940s. Unlike many of the photos that came from Hollywood at the time, it is not postcard backed, and has an actual signature in blue ink.

About This Blog

Movie Stars My Mom Wrote is a site that shows all of the movie star photographs that my mom collected in the 1940s. She wrote several, and ended up collecting around 50 photos. Most of the people you may recognize. I intend to add a photo to the site every week until they are all published.

Photo: This is a picture of my mother when she was a young teenager, during the time she was writing all of the Hollywood movie studios. She looks like a movie star to me!
